This Privacy Policy explains how cpGantt Chart (“the Visual”, “we”, “our”, “us”), a Power BI custom visual developed by Project Management Profy (PMF), handles data when used inside Microsoft Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, or embedded environments.

We are committed to ensuring that your information remains private, secure, and fully under your control.

1. Data Processing Overview

CP Gantt Chart does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data or business data outside of the Power BI environment.

All data processed by the Visual is handled locally within Power BI and is never sent to external servers owned or controlled by us.

2. Data Access

The Visual accesses only the data supplied to it through Power BI datasets, following Power BI’s sandbox and security model.

  • Data is processed in memory only
  • No data is transmitted, uploaded, or exported externally
  • No cookies, tracking, telemetry, or analytics scripts are used

The Visual cannot access any data outside of what is explicitly provided to it via report fields.

3. No Data Collection or Transmission

The Visual:

  • Does not collect personal information
  • Does not store report data on external systems
  • Does not log user actions
  • Does not transmit any information over the internet
  • Does not use third-party analytics

All visual logic executes inside Power BI’s secure sandboxed iframe, as required by Microsoft.

4. License Validation

The Visual may require checking the validity of a Pro license:

  • License validation requests contain only the license key or subscription identifier
  • No report data, user data, or business data is included
  • Verification occurs exclusively via secure encrypted channels
  • Data is not stored, except for the minimal information required to manage your license

Free users are not subject to any validation requests.

5. User-Controlled Data

Any data shown in cpGantt Chart is provided solely by the user’s Power BI environment.
Power BI administrators and report creators retain full control over:

  • Data sources
  • Data refresh schedules
  • Data retention policies
  • Access permissions
  • Export settings

CP Gantt Chart has no ability to alter or override these settings.

6. Third-Party Services

The Visual does not integrate with or send information to any third-party services except:

  • Microsoft Power BI, whose privacy policies apply
  • The licensing server for Pro license validation (minimal non-personal request)

We do not share any data with advertisers, tracking networks, or analytics providers.

7. Children’s Privacy

cpGantt Chart is not intended for children and does not knowingly process any data relating to children.

8. Security

The Visual relies on Power BI’s security model and inherits its protections:

  • Sandboxed iframe execution
  • No direct access to external resources
  • Restricted scripting environment
  • HTTPS-only licensing communication

No additional data is stored by the Visual.
